Partnerships

The LCA is a member of the Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations (PACDC) and our Board Secretary is the Communications & Events Manager  at PACDC. This membership includes  grant assistance, networking, and education.

The LCA is a member of The Philadelphia Area Cooperative Alliance (PACA) which is a co-op of co-ops. They include worker co-ops, food co-ops, housing co-ops, artist co-ops, credit unions, energy co-ops, and school co-ops across the Philadelphia region. Our Treasurer is their board President.

We house Books Through Bars, a volunteer run non-profit which sends free books to incarcerated people in the mid-east United States. They are members of the LCA.

We are fiscal sponsors of the West Philly Bizarre, a non-profit vendor market providing low-cost vending opportunities to West Philadelphia’s underserved and marginalized communities.

We house the Coalition for Black Trans Economic Liberation (CBTEL)  Their mission is  to redistribute wealth, in its many forms, from non-Black people to Black LGBTQIA+ people in the greater Philadelphia area. They are members of the LCA.

The LCA is also home to the Absurdia Community Fridge & Pantry. For several years, the house has provided space for community members to reliably find food and other necessities free of cost.
